These are advertisements are false, misleading and NOT published by the Ministry of Water and Environment

CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO SUPPORT THE DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF WOOD PROCESSING SUBSIDY SCHEME UNDER IFPA-CD PROJECT.

The Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE, the Lead Agency), Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), and National Forestry Authority (NFA), is executing the "Uganda – Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate-Smart Development (IFPA-CD) Project." This project is financed through contributions from the World Bank and counterpart funding from the Government of Uganda.

TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENENGO IRRIGATION SCHEME IN KANUNGU DISTRICT.

The Government of Uganda (GoU) with support from the International Development Association (IDA) is implementing the Irrigation for Climate Resilient Project (ICRP). The project will provide farmers in the project areas with access to irrigation and other agricultural services, and establish management arrangements for irrigation service delivery.

The project has three components: Component 1. Irrigation Services; Component 2. Support services or agricultural production and value-chain development; and Component 3. Institutional Strengthening and Implementation Support.

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL AUDIT OF THE KABUYANDA IRRIGATION SCHEME

The purpose of this Audit is to evaluate environmental and social compliance of ICRP project components that are covered by the ESIA certificate of approval issued by NEMA on July 2, 2020 and propose mitigation measures for any non-compliance with the provisions in the Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMMPs) for Kabuyanda Irrigation Scheme and auxiliary facilities. The ESA will also make recommendations for improving the operating and environmental conditions for long-term sustainability of the ICRP investments.

CONSTRUCTION OF WATER STORAGE TANKS IN GOVERNMENT AIDED SCHOOLS AND HEALTH CENTRES UNDER GCF PROJECT IN DISTRICTS OF SOUTH WESTERN UGANDA

The Government of Uganda through Ministry of Water & Environment has received financing from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in form of a grant towards and has allocated funds to be used for Construction of Water Storage Tanks in Government Aided Schools and Health Centres Under GCF Project in Districts of South Western Uganda;

The    Ministry   of  Water    and    Environment    (MWE) is   implementing agency   of LIFE- AR that   coordinates   the  day  to  day  activities  of Least Developed  Countries   Initiative  for Effective Adaptation  and   Resilience LIFE- AR.
