This is the third Natural Resources, Environment, Climate Change, Lands and Water Management (NRECCLWM) Annual Programme Performance Report (APPR). It presents the performance of the Programme during the Financial Year (FY) 2022/23 with respect to investments, achievement of outcomes and interventions, and challenges. It is based on Programme objectives, outcome Indicators, and interventions as outlined in NDPIII and Programme Implementation Action Plan (PIAP). It covers natural resources, environment, climate change, land and water management, disaster preparedness, and risk management.
The poor management of natural resources including wetlands, forests, land, water, and environment have contributed to climate change with serious implications on agriculture production and productivity, biodiversity, and extreme weather conditions characterised by severe floods and prolonged drought which affect macroeconomic variables such as economic growth and inflation.
This is the first Natural Resources, Environment, Climate Change, Lands and Water Management (NRECCLWM) Programme Report (PPR). It presents the performance of the Programme during the Financial Year (FY) 2020/21 with respect to investments, achievement of outcomes and interventions, and challenges.
The Water and Environment Sector Performance Report (SPR) presents the performance of the sector during the financial year (FY) 2019/20 with respect to investments, targets, achievements, outputs and challenges. It is based on Sector Performance Indicators. It covers water supplies, sanitation and hygiene, water for production, water resources management, environment and natural resources, climate change and cross cutting issues of gender, HIV/AIDS and governance.

It presents the performance of the sector during the financial year (FY) 2018/19 in terms of investments, targets, achievements, outputs and challenges. It is based on Sector Performance Indicators. have the pleasure to present Uganda’s Water and Environment Sector Performance Report for 2017/18FY (i.e. SPR 2018). This report highlights the need to manage our water and environment resources in a sustainable manner to be able to meet all the different development economic activities and also for our ecosystem. Moreover, this is moreover in environment of increasing population, which is exacerbated by the refugee influx especially in Northern Uganda and climate change challenges.
The GOU together with Sector Development Partners and other stakeholders agreed to conduct annual Joint Sector Reviews as one of the consultative arrangements for implementation of a Sector Wide Approach to Planning (SWAP) in the Water and Environment sector. The ToR at hand describes the 10th Joint Sector Review for the Water and Environment and will be held from 18th to the 20th of September 2018 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala.
This is the 8th Water and Environment Sector Performance Report (SPR). It provides a concise and transparent overview of investments, targets, achievements, outputs and challenges for the sector during 2015/16FY (i.e. SPR 2016).
