Approved TORs Agribusiness Needs assessment survey

The Government of the Republic of Uganda received a loan from Islamic Development (IsDB) to finance the Irrigation Schemes Development Project In Unyama, Namalu And Sipi Regions under the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE). The project is implemented by Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE), with Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) as a technical implementation partner.

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CONDUCTING THE AGRI BUSINESS NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY IN THE CATCHMENT DISTRICTS OF THE 3 IRRIGATION SCHEMES OF SIPI, NAMALU AND UNYAMA.

The Republic of Uganda has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Irrigation Schemes Development Project in Unyama, Namalu and Sipi Regions, Uganda and intends to apply part of the proceeds for these consultant services. 

The services include: a detailed review of the current status of agribusiness opportunities along the apiculture, rice, horticulture and aquaculture value chains, 

FIEFOC-II PROJECT SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) FOR DOHO, MUBUKU, NGENGE, TOCHI AND WADELAI

The FIEFOC-II project activities will include the construction and use of irrigation infrastructures that may likely have significant environmental impacts such as loss of vegetation, soil erosion, pesticide use, wetland degradation and increase in waterborne diseases. These risks will be managed through implementation of mitigation measures well elaborated in site specific Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).

Terms of Reference for Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

The IFPA-CD project is jointly developed and implemented by Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) as the Lead Agency, Uganda Widlife Authority (UWA), National Forestry Authority and Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.  The problem being addressed by this project is increased vulnerability of economic productivity, biodiversity and livelihoods to climate change effects due to declining forestry ecosystems goods and services. 

SUPPLY OF TREE SEEDLINGS, SEEDS AND CUTTINGS FOR COMMUNITY CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE (3,500HA) FOR SACRIAC PROJECT UNDER FRAMEWORK CONTRACT.

The Government of Uganda through Ministry of Water & Environment has received the African Development Bank (AfDB) in form of a grant towards the cost of Strengthening the Adaptive Capacity and Resilience of Communities in Uganda’s Watersheds Project-Awoja Catchment (SACRiAC) in Eastern Uganda and has allocated funds to be used for Supply of Tree Seedlings, Seeds and Cuttings for Community Agriculture (3,500ha) for SACRiAC Project under Framework Contract.

The Government of Uganda through Ministry of Water & Environment has received financing from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the African Development Bank (AfDB) in the form of a grant towards the cost of Strengthening the Adaptive Capacity and Resilience of Communities in Uganda’s Watersheds Project-Awoja Catchment (SACRiAC) in Eastern Uganda and has allocated funds to be used for Supply of tree seedlings for community support for agro-forestry practices (3,000ha) for SACRiAC Project under Framework Contract.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION)

The Government of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Energy Access Scale-up Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) include undertaking feasibility studies and detailed engineering designs of solar photovoltaic energy packages for 30 water supply schemes (under one 12-month contract); supervision of the supply, installation and commissioning of solar photovoltaic energy packages for 70 water supply schemes (under 2 separate 40-months contracts).
