The Government of Uganda with financial assistance from the World Bank (WB) is implementing the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP) over the period May 2020 to April 2026. The ICRP aims at providing farmers in the project area with access to irrigation and other agricultural services, to establish Operation and Maintenance arrangements for irrigation service delivery and increasing farm production potential to tame the devastating effects of climate change.

Government of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services to Implement and Support GBV/VAC Activities by NGO in Matanda Irrigation Scheme in Kanungu District.

The Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the World Bank towards the cost of the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Supply of 7No. Station Wagons and 18No. Double Cabin Pickup Vehicles for Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project.

The project development objective (PDO) is to improve access to water supply and sanitation services, capacity for integrated water resources management and the operational performance of water and sanitation service providers in the IWMDP Project areas.

The Forest Management and Sustainable Charcoal Value Chain in Uganda (FM&SCVC), is a Government of Uganda project, anchored within the Ministry of Water and Environment and funded by the European Union. The project is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. The project’s objective is to mitigate negative environmental, social and economic impacts resulting from charcoal production.
