TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

The Government of Uganda (GOU) represented by the Ministry of Water and Environment and the National Water & Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) together with the World Bank have formulated the Integrated Water Management and Development Project (IWMDP) to be financed with a loan from the World Bank.  According to the IWMDP Project Appraisal Document (PAD) and negotiated Financing Agreement, the Project Support Team (PST) shall be established under Component 4 to support the smooth implementation of the Project and one of the staff required under PST is the Procurement Specialist.

PREPARATION OF WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT PLANS FOR SEZIBWA AND OKWENG CATCHMENTS IN KYOGA WATER MANAGEMENT ZONE

The Government of Uganda through the MWE with support from the World Bank (WB) has planned to implement an Integrated Water Management and Development Project (IWMDP) within which Consultancy Services to prepare Water Resources Development and Management Plans for Sezibwa and Okweng Catchments in Kyoga Water Management Zone are sought. The MWE therefore is seeking reputable organizations/firms to provide these consultancy services for preparation of Water Resources Development and Management Plans for Sezibwa and Okweng Catchments in Kyoga Water Management Zone.

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION

The urban areas of Uganda have undergone rapid population growth during the recent years and is still growing. This has increased demand on infrastructure and in some sectors outrun gains in infrastructure development including the water and sanitation sub-sector. As much as there is an increase in the number of people served every year in the urban water sector, the number of unserved is stagnant or still growing partly due to the rapid population growth but also due to gazetting of additional areas as urban. (MWE, Sector Performance Report 2017). 

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR COMPREHENSIVE SITUATION ASSESSMENT AND PREPARATION OF ALBERT WATER MANAGEMENT ZONE (AWMZ) STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN

The Government of Uganda’s Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) is implementing a series of major water policy reforms through its Directorate of Water Resources Management (DWRM). The reforms include the adoption of the principles of integrated water resources management (IWRM), a catchment-based approach to water resources management and investment planning and a participatory approach. In keeping with broader Government policy, implementation of IWRM will be deconcentrated to the zonal and catchment levels.
