Site inspection of Bukedea Gravity Flow Scheme in Bukedea District.

The Ministry of Water and Environment through the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department is implementing the construction of Bukedea Gravity Flow Scheme in Bukedea District. With funding from the African Development Bank, the scheme targets to serve a population 262,343 persons and is expected to connect 1,700 household with safe and clean water.

Due to the size of the project, construction is being done in 3 phases.

Under Phase I, the project will supply Kolir, Aminit and Kamutar sub counties in Bukedea District. Bwikhonge, Nabbongo, Mayembe, Bulambuli Town Council Bakhalu and Buyaga sub counties in Bulambuli District. Bukiise sub county and parts of Sironko Town Council in Sironko district

Phase ll will supply Malera sub county in Bukedea District and Phase lll will supply Kidongole and Kachumbala sub counties in Bukedea district and some parts of Kween District.
