Today a team from Ministry of Water and Environment south western region accompanied the state minister of water  Hon Kibule Ronald to visit caritas fortportal Health through Water and Sanitation (HEWASA). This is an NGO developed by the Diocese Development Bureau of the Diocese of Fort Portal and implemented in over four districts of Western Uganda: Kabarole, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, and Bundibugyo Districts. The minister met with manager caritas HEWASA and also community members from that area and the RDC Kabarole. He informed the community members that the Ministry will continue to support caritas HEWASA as they help more poor people access water. Government last year embarked on construction of a Shs27b irrigation project aimed at benefitting people in Rwengaju Model Village, the minister also visited the Model village to inspect ongoing works.
