Ministry of Water and Environment officials toady commissioned the Irundi Water supply system Energy for Rural Transformation (ERT) Phase III

This water supply system will use Solar energy as its pumping system  and will serve 6 areas with a total population of 19,890 people benefiting from it. It was handed over to Umbrella of Water and Sanitation East for Operation and Maintenance.

Mugoya Sadat the sub-county Chief of Irundi thanked MWE for the tireless efforts and stated that people had given up on water due to the high costs but his now grateful that water has been drawn closer to everyone. 

The ERT co-ordination manager from Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development Mr. Buringuriza Emmanuel was also around.
