Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering Design for Nakasongola Multipurpose Bulk Water Supply System Infrastructure and Facilities

The Government of Uganda has prioritized provision of bulk water supply infrastructure for multipurpose usage in numerous parts of the country as well as increasing functionality of the existing ones. To consolidate these efforts, the Government of Uganda intends to undertake Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering Design for Nakasongola, Kayunga, Masindi, Nakaseke and Luweero Bulk Water Supply System Infrastructure and Facilities. The bulk water supply project is to draw water from Lake Kyoga and supply Nakasongola, Kayunga, Masindi, Nakaseke and Luweero Districts. The target areas lie in the renowned cattle corridor that continues to grapple with severe droughts that frequently cause deaths of livestock and crop failure resulting in crippling losses to pastoralists and farmers. Notwithstanding, the said target areas host vast arable land with high potential for commercial irrigation and livestock farming.
