The Under Secretary Finance and Administration; Ms. Nassuna Catherine officiated at the Entry Meeting for the preparation of the Annual Programme Performance Report for the Natural Resources, Environment, Climate Change, Land and Water Management (NRECCLWM) Programme for Financial Year 2025/26.
The purpose of the meeting was to enhance strong coordination and collaboration among all Departments, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure that the report reflects a unified and accurate account of programme performance.
The nominated Focal Persons are expected to:
1. Coordinate departmental data collection and reporting.
2. Facilitate internal validation processes.
3. Ensure timely submission of quality reports.
4. Address gaps identified during the review process.
5. Support implementation of recommendations arising from the reporting exercise.
The APPR is an important accountability and management tool that:
1. Measures progress against planned targets and commitments.
2. Assesses the effectiveness and impact of Programme interventions.
3. Strengthens evidence-based decision-making.
4. Promotes transparency and accountability in the utilization of public resources.
5. Informs planning, budgeting, and policy direction for subsequent financial years.
The APPR will be presented to all stakeholders during the Programme Review for the NRECCLWM in October 2026
