Water Management Zones

Responsible for (i) assessing applications and issuance of water permits for groundwater abstraction, surface water abstraction, and waste water discharge, borehole drilling, and hydrogeologists and easement certificates; (ii) promotion of catchment-based water resources planning, development and management of water and related resources; (iii) protection and restoration of water catchments and water related ecosystems; and (iv) coordination and collaboration with various stakeholders at the catchment level to implement integrated water resources management.
