Water and Sanitation Development Facility - Karamoja

The WSDF-K team led by Manager Eng. Johnson Opige conducted a successful site inspection for the Kakingol WSS project in Kakingol sub-county Moroto District.
 
 Key highlights:

- Project progress: 71% complete
- Sites visited: Water office block, treatment works, elevated reservoir tank, and intake site.
- Objective: Review construction progress, identify concerns and address challenges.

Kakingol WSS is expected to serve 08 villages in 02 parishes in katikekile sub-county.

Scope of works
•Installation of No.150 consumer connections (yard taps)
  •Supply of tools and equipment for O&M
• Construction of sedimentation tank of 150m³
• Construction of clear water tank of 300m³
• Construction of chemical house and Guard house.
• Supply and installation of solar systems.
•) Laying of distribution mains and transmission mains
• Construction of  Water Office Block at Nakiloro.
• Construction of sludge drying bed.
• Construction of intake point.
• Construction of steel tank of 20m³
Construction of 6 stance Sanitation Facilities for boys and girls at Kakingol P/S
