WSDF-NORTH TECHNICAL HANDOVER OF LACEKOCOT PIPED WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND SANITATION FACILITIES IN PADER DISTRICT TO NUWS
Today, WSDF-North handed over Lacekocot Piped Water Supply System and Sanitation Facilities to UWS-North for operation and maintenance.

The handover ceremony was officiated by Eng. Richard Matua, Asst. Commissioner Urban Planning and Development and attended by WSDF-N officials led by Eng.Catherine Agwai Angwec (Branch Manager), NUWS officials led by Mr. Martin Wamalwa (Manager NUWS), Town Council leaders, Pader DLG leaders led by the RDC (Mr. Assimwe Moses) and representatives of beneficiaries.
The technical handover aimed to inspect completed works to ensure effecient functionality of the systems and also ensure a smooth transition of operation and maintenance responsibilities to NUWS.
The project was funded by the Government of Uganda
to improve access to clean and safe water for the communities in the area.

    -409 yard Connections
    -Reservoir Tank
    -Power Source
    -Transmission Mains
    -Distribution lines
    -Treatment Works
    -Chemical dosing house
    -Institutional Toilets at Lawiyeadul Primary School
    -Public Toilet
    -Water office.

The project is designed to serve a population of 16,350 by the ultimate year 2042 in the villages of Kal, Labongoguru, Abora, Gojani, Lawiyeadul, Pucota, Pungole, Pakeyo and Paibwor.
