
UWS-C Launches new Performance Improvement Program
Umbrella of Water and Sanitation-Central launches new Performance Improvement Program.
Central Umbrella management launched a new performance improvement program dubbed Water Accountability Value Enhancement Program (WAVE). This program is a successor program for the Operational Efficiency Program “OEP” and is focused on improving;
- Non-Revenue Water (NRW).
- New Connections.
- Staff Productivity.
- Operating Cost Ratio.
- Debt Age.
- Customer Care and culture.
The program is designed to strengthen performance, efficiency, and accountability in water service delivery. By focusing on core operational and customer-centered indicators, CUWS seeks to improve financial sustainability, enhance service quality, and promote a culture of responsibility within the organization and communities served.
To effectively implement this program, management has moved from the Cluster management model to the Area management model and has appointed performance champions to influence optimal performance in the focus Areas.
In his remarks, the manager encouraged the Area Managers to build systems that work.
The launch was concluded with signing of MOUs between the Umbrella Manager, Division Heads and Area Managers respectively. This program will run from July 2025- June 2026.
