SITE MEETING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF BOROLI REFUGEE SETTLEMENT PIPED WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION SYSTEM IN ADJUMANI DISTRICT

Water and Sanitation Development Facility_North together with Adjumani DLG, community representatives held a meeting for the construction of Boroli Refugee Settlement Piped Water Supply System and Sanitation Facilities in Adjumani District. Overall physical progress was found at 86%.

The project aims to serve a population of 7541 people by the ultimate year of 2045. Areas to be served include;host community( Boroli Central, Amuru & Liria villages) as well as Boroli I and Boroli II for refugee Settlement

System components include;
1.Construction of pump house
2.Construction of 1No. Chlorination house
3.180 No.household yard connections

  1. No.5 public stand posts
    5.Construction of Water office Block
    6.Laying of transmission mains
    7.Laying of distribution network
    8.A reservoir tank
    9.Construction of sanitation facilities including;
    I) 6stance VIP latrine for boys at Boroli Primary School
    II) 6 stance VIP latrine for girls at Boroli P/S
    III) 3 stance VIP latrine for staff at Boroli P/S

The contractor undertaking the construction works is Kol Services LTD under the direct supervision of Water and Sanitation Development Facility_North

This project is being funded by the Government of Uganda and co-financed from the German Government through KfW.
