The Environment Support Service Department within the Ministry of Water and Environment is dedicated to integrating environmental conservation principles into water resource management and development projects. The department provides technical guidance, environmental assessments, and monitoring services to ensure that water-related interventions comply with national and international environmental standards. It supports sustainable ecosystem management by promoting pollution control, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience initiatives. Additionally, the department collaborates with other government agencies, communities, and development partners to enhance environmental awareness, capacity building, and enforcement of regulations that protect water catchments, wetlands, and other critical natural resources.
