Commissioning of Ajia Piped Water Supply System in Arua District
Today, the Manager Northern Umbrella of Water and Sanitation, Mr. Martin Wamalwa represented the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Water and Environment, Dr. Alfred Okot Okidi during the commissioning of Ajia Piped Water Supply System in Arua District. The new water supply system is a major milestone in improving access to safe and reliable water for the people of Ajia and the surrounding communities. In his remarks delivered on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, he highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in advancing water service delivery. Dr. Alfred, in his message, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to ensure that water systems are not only commissioned but also sustainably operated and maintained for the long-term benefit of the people. Together, we can secure a healthier and brighter future for our people,” he emphasized.
