The 280million shilling project will store 51,000,000litres of water to boost agricultural production for an estimated population of 40,000people. WFPC-E officials held a site meeting with local residents today. During the meeting, the community thanked government for the initiative and raised concern about child risk management around the dam while leaders and WFPC-E officials raised concern about the unsustainable utilization of the tank, poor sanitation and poor environmental management. The leaders and residents pledged to work hand in hand to use existing bi-laws and make new ones to ensure sustainable utilisation of the valley tank.
